A SIRS is a detailed evaluation conducted by a licensed engineer or architect to assess the condition of your building and estimate the cost of future maintenance or repairs. This study ensures sufficient funds are available to address these needs and is now a requirement under Florida's new building safety laws.

General structural inspections focus on specific concerns, such as cracks or spalling, that may compromise your building's safety. Our engineers evaluate the area, determine whether it poses a structural risk, and recommend appropriate actions. These inspections are quick and cost-effective, starting at $450.

Special and threshold inspections are mandated for specific construction projects or larger buildings:

  • Special Inspections: Verify that construction adheres to engineering plans.
  • Threshold Inspections: Required for structures over three stories, 50 feet high, or with large occupancy spaces, such as conference centers and gyms.

The duration depends on the type and complexity of the inspection. A simple visual inspection can be completed in a few hours, while more comprehensive evaluations, like Structural Integrity Reserve Studies, may take several days. Multiple buildings or extensive areas will also require additional time.
